Pros

If you made it through the interview process you have been selected based on your likely fit with the MBM philosophy. Nice facility with chef in the cafeteria. Thriving business.

Cons

Screened based on fit to MBM. If you deviate from that philosophy or voice dissent you will be let go without any hesitation. Lots of turnover because of this. One of MBM philosophy points is "challenge" things. This should be a good thing and lead to open mindedness, but on the KBS teams I worked with it was unnecessarily confrontational and hostile. You have to live in Wichita to work at HQ. If you leave Wichita you may have difficulty selling your house. Work/life balance is not in their vocabulary. Not as bad as other places on this though. No clear career path. Atlanta (Georgia Pacific) has not fully assimilated the MBM philosophy, which makes for cognitive dissonance. "Entrepreneurial" mindset leads to duplication of services, and excuse for not following processes.

Pros

This is a growing company with many opportunities. The MBM culture is very unique and aligns well with my morals and personal beliefs on markets and economics.

Cons

The commute into the Atlanta office can be strenuous. The company is not as flexible on working from home as others in the Atlanta market.

Pros

Fast pace and growing organization.

Cons

It is a high stress, micro-managing environment and management puts unreasonable demands on personal time and quality of life. Will not allow work from home as a corporate wide option, even though they have remote employees. Not a consistent message to employees. Employees view this as a double standard. They say there is a bonus structure, but it is next to impossible to get one. They use it like a carrot to drive you to go above and beyond (“value creation”), but they leave you exhausted and disappointed.
