Pros

Big company, typical benefits, big name.

Cons

No yearly raises and bonuses are non-existant. MBM guidelines are written on posters everywhere but management seems to pick and choose what they will follow. With all the talk about meaning and value in your work, Georgia-Pacific fakes it. Great people are forced to leave bc of the whims of upper management.

Worst place I have ever worked at.

Pros

Lots of perks for employees. Cafeteria, dry cleaning, discounts, etc.

Cons

I was treated like they did not want me there due to a change in management after I was hired. Training was horrible, different staff members trained me the certain way they did things so when someone else checked my work they would ask, "Why did you do it this way?" What made it worse was that the people who trained me wouldn't say anything knowing they showed me the wrong way to do something.

Pros

Hybrid work-from-home model though I was hired on being told we were one day in office per week and within a month the company changed to 2/week and then said we had to provide our monitors and equipment in order to work from home which was annoying. Decent pay, decent benefits, newer office space

Cons

The company is "newer" under Koch Industries and just isn't well organized or set up, at least in the finance department. I came from a much larger competitor in the area and wished I hadn't left within the first month. Training isn't done in standardized way so even after 8 months there was so much that I wasn't taught about the role or the company or policies in general and you're just kind of left to "figure it out" on your own. Communication within the department isn't great and turnover is high-I was there 8 months and had 3 different leaders. Some people in the company are just plain rude and will definitely speak down to you and then when you tell someone in leadership about it it's used against you in the future. Systems are very outdated and they just don't have what you need to accurately get work done without several pain-points, despite having their own "tech" division. Needless to say, I was applying to other jobs within 3 months of starting this one in hopes of finding something better...they tout having this "principle based management" philosophy but I couldn't even tell you what it meant as none of my leadership or HR ever really explained it. I wouldn't recommend the company, or at least the department, to friends.
