Pros

Benefits are average, competitive in the industry. Compensation must be negotiated at hire because raises aren't available.

Cons

Challenges are many. Facilities are outdated and are rarely updated. Technology is lagging behind other retailers. Too many skus in most categories creates excess markdowns.

Pros

Good place to start if you have no loss prevention experience. You will learn a lot about the field and will be able to apply your knowledge in future roles. The schedule is flexible, and the training well tedious is pretty good. I very much enjoyed my time with the company, I had to seek other employment when I was cut to part time.

Cons

The pay is pretty low but its hard to hold that against a company losing money hand over fist like Kmart. Full time employment in LP is hard to come by, and even if you do get it there is certainly no guarantee you will be able to keep it. The equipment in outdated which make performing your job more challenging than it should be.
