If you can get past the newly hired managers that do not know anything about child care you might survive

Cons

The new managers, directors and vice presidents that have no idea what happens in the field, they have no experience running any type of child care institutions. The company has either fired, forced out or dissolved departments that had any experience running this company. Training is non-existent, support at any level is not available and the constant change in direction will make your head spin.

Corporate management, long 12-14 hour days for salaried employees and a parent group that do not give enough resources to provide adequate care to children

Pros

Accountability is very important to CCLC. Good professional development trainings. Tuition reimbursement and education assistance through the STARS program does make up for the mediocre pay. Most employees are parents and understanding of work/life/family issues. Also 50% discount for your own kids is certainly something.

Cons

Teachers definitely not paid enough. Not enough attention to the mental health of teachers.
