      Pros

      Flex work schedule, remote work days available as needed/approved, safe and enjoyable work environment. I enjoy coming to the office every day. A lateral management structure exists, cutting out middle management levels. Management leaves you alone to complete your work. There is no micromanaging present and you are commended when you perform exceptionally well. Multiple team events are held throughout the year and a strong support system exists between all employees. I do not plan on leaving this company anytime in the foreseeable future. Best work environment I've ever experienced.

      Cons

      Salary is middle of the road but still very fair. Could use a few more engineers to lessen the workload.

      Pros

      Very dedicated people. People that have left for greener pastures have returned to the benefit of the employee and the organization. Significant opportunities to work on high-profile projects in a recession-resistant industry. Serious satisfaction when people understand how much impact your work has on their lives.

      Cons

      Software interface was a bit archaic, but it was evolving. Life safety work is sort of like the airline industry- it needs to be bulletproof, which doesn't lend itself well to cowboy programmers (software or PLC controls).
