Pros

-Benefits, unlimited PTO -Mostly remote (at the time) -Great coworkers -Good upward mobility (often promote internally) -Tons of training available; fantastic onboarding program -Managing multiple accounts can be good for people who like a little bit of everything

Cons

-It's an agency; aka high stress, quick turnarounds, lots of ad hoc work, limited room for error, managing multiple accounts -Upper management was in meetings all day, so the people in middle management had to pick up the slack; they were account leads but were also often the experts on the day to day, so they were stretched thin. (I was more junior, but I could tell how hard those people were working) -I burnt out so badly; I swear that job would have killed me had I stayed any longer (though I should have known that I'm very much not cut out for agency work) -Constant turnover of middle management (at one point, I had an account where we had 100% turnover for the CL team and PL team (6-ish people) in one year - at least in part due to the lack of resources -Unclear direction/management due to mergers and acquisitions - lost 3 of 4 SVPs in the first year of working there -Outsourcing of the Data Design team meant that the US Client Leadership team had to pick up the slack from losing most of the US Data Design team -Talk the talk but don't walk the walk - there were lots of goals at the company that didn't end up coming to fruition e.g., inclusion and diversity

Not very inspiring place to work

Pros

The insights are interesting, people are generally nice, managers are trying and understanding, and good work life balance.

Cons

Many things others have said: - Low salary and little opportunities to grow. Quickly became uninspired to work there. - If you're on a lower skale you don't get any proper benefits (health insurance, travel, etc), which makes no sense, lower skale should be given some kind of compensation for their low salaries... - Stuck with legacy systems and legacy way of working - Hard to improve things as lots of hierarchy - Leadership say they're happy for change and improvement but when it comes down to it it doesn't feel like they are and things moved very very slowly - Office location - Micromanagement - Poor communication throughout - Untrained staff being given work they don't have experience in at times, it was way of cutting costs instead of hiring someone with relevant experience which just added extra time and work trying to make them understand a role they weren't hired to do. Many times we were juggling different roles instead of having the right staff - Some coworkers played the blame game quite a bit rather than taking ownership, even for the smallest things, making it a difficult culture to work in. There was at times lack of basic business etiquette

Pros

It's amazing to work with leader brands, different accounts, challenging clients and business issues. This professional experience is the most valuable thing I have got from Kantar.

Cons

Culture is difficult. Business prioritization keeps people development in second place. It's difficult to build a career if you don't have the right relationships. HHRR is not involved at all
