      You are eligible for full-time benefits even if you are only 90% employed. This is good if you are trying to work through graduate school not on a GRA or GTA appointment.

      Cons

      The Academia lifestyle in general does not leave much time for personal life. Best to get in and out fast if going for a MSc or PhD.
