Graduate Student Assistant....About What You Would Expect

Tuition waived - Go to school for free! You are surrounded by other graduate students in offices so you get the opportunity to learn from others while developing your own skills.

Cons

The work load is tough to manage between teaching, attending classes, and research, but you should expect it going in.

Great benefits, notoriety, and college campus provides a sense of youthfulness for those that enjoy being around young people. Great educational opportunities.

Cons

Lacks professinoalism found in the private sector and HR is terrible at evaluating and handling complaints. University lacks the initiative to terminate bad employees.

The hours are really flexible and the work with you to set your schedule every semester. If you are a good worker, they will work to keep you around even if you have to take a semester off.

Cons

Sometimes there is a lot of sitting around. Some faculty can be difficult at times while others are really nice
