Great place to work for students

Pros

K-State offers a great place for students to earn some money while attending school. All of the employers understand the need for students to take time off for family/social needs or school projects. Decent pay for kids in school, especially if you are in somewhat more specialized positions.

Cons

Senior management is often incompetent, more focused on politics and throwing around business buzzwords than anything else.

Pros

The best part about working at KSU is the people. Most are very open and friendly and are often willing to lend you a hand if you need help or advise. The academic environment is fairly open and most people are not quiet as pretentious as those that can be found at some other big universities. In addition the area is very family friendly with a fairly low crime rate.

Cons

The location is probably the worst downside of working at KSU. The closest major airport is 130 miles away. Also the Manhattan area is undergoing a lot of redevelopment but it would be nice if there was a little more variety in the types of shops and restaurants that they are putting in.
