Pros

Manhattan is a good medium sized community for raising a family.

Cons

It's not a place that cares about and takes care of it's people. I would say that the President, the First Lady, and some department heads care, but otherwise administrators were not trustworthy.

Pros

K-State has a good reputation as a good place for students and this does make me proud to work here. It is a job.

Cons

Some people are paid a fair salary - others are not but no way to tell how it is determined and if you ask, you are told it was compared to something or other but no one knows what or how. From what I can tell in my area the only way for advancement is if you are a sycophant..

Cons

- Slow moving bureaucracy - Too many do nothings if you're in the wrong department - Lack of unity between colleges - Parking's less than good
