Great quality education at a low cost. Boring town.

Pros
I received tuition reimbursement on top of a salary, interesting research work, and I collaborated with good professors. If you're willing to put in the work for a few years as a graduate student, it seems to pay off quite well in the long run. This is a great place to launch your career, particularly if you're an engineer or are interested in agriculture.
Cons
Manhattan is a small, conservative town - it can be quite boring. Weather gets a bit crazy.
