Pros

Being a graduate student at KSU is a rewarding experience. The professors generally know every student by name and the class is more of a discussion and learning experience rather than just a lecture as in undergraduate studies. You are expected to do your work and treat graduate school as a job which I think is a benefit to research experience.

Cons

Too few graduate students around. Makes it hard to be collaborative in some fields or areas.

Pros

My supervisors are friendly and willing to answer any questions I have. They care about the well being of students and will do anything to help.

Cons

There is not much diversity at K-State. It is a conservative, predominantly Christian campus and many people hold strong beliefs regarding race and religion.
