Pros

The environment of the university is amazing, there is always something going on and most people on campus are very outgoing.

Cons

When you are support staff, you might go several years without a payroll raise. The university is good about raising all kinds of money, but rarely do the funds go toward employee retention. There is also not a lot of room for career advancement once you are in supervisory role.

Cons

The university expects all of your time and effort. If you want to have a life, family, or social life outside of work, this is not the company for you.
