      The sporting events are fantastic to work at. You get to see behind the scenes and you get paid for it too. Flexible hours.

      Pay is nothing to write home about.

      Pros

      Great benefits working for the State of Kansas, flexible hours depending on job and supervisor.

      Cons

      Very resistant to change. There have been no raises in years due to the budget situation. The only way to increase pay is to change jobs within the University. They do not practice employee retention unless it is a faculty member. The employee reviews that are used are ineffective. Poor performers are rarely reprimanded or fired which causes good employees to cover more than their share of work.
