Pros

Will work with you on taking classes while being full time, in some departments.

Cons

Pay is not great, there is no room for growth in a department/position, which means people that are good leave. Even though they do cover three credit hours a semester that doesn't include fees, and online classes are outrageous. You have to pay a huge chunk of your salary to park on campus and there is no guarantee you would have a parking space, so if you have to go to an appointment instead of it taking an hour it can take twice as long or longer which means using your vacation. There is a mandatory week off after Christmas, which is wonderful, but uses vacation time even if you don't wish to participate in the holiday. There is no consistency in the same position in departments and often people have taken on more than their fair share of a job with no recourse. Evaluations are pointless if you don't follow up with negative ones, and there is no benefit to getting a good one. There is no real incentive to do well at your job. As our employee costs go up our pay does not. Yet there is a tremendous amount of wasteful spending going on all around campus. There is extremely limited professional development offered for non-HR related positions, yet many positions would like a certain level of proficiency in Adobe products.
