It's a job

Pros

Good benefits. That's about it. It used to be better. Some departments are better than others. For the most part it's not great.

Cons

Executives do not care about "on-site" employees. If your position doesn't generate income you are invisible to them. Directors hide things from the executives to stay safe. Managers hide things from the directors to stay safe. As long as your supervisor likes you, you are safe. You'll never get promoted. Incompetent supervisors rely on their subordinates to make themselves look good. There is an abundance of incompetent supervisors. Human resources is a joke. They have swelled into a massive department that does less for the employees than they have ever done. They cannot be trusted. Sexual harassment is rampant. They have allowed the morning security guard to sexually harass the females for decades. Office romances are everywhere. Mostly between married employees cheating with other married employees. Not much work is done on a daily basis. A few employees do the bulk of the work and the majority of employees sit around, gossip, online shop, play on their phones, etc.

Stop changing the Hybrid schedule!!

Pros

Hybrid schedule was great. In office on Tuesdays and allowed to choose your second day. Benefits are at low cost to employee and have lots of great options.

Cons

In the past 4 years they have changed the hybrid remote work policy 4 times. The most recent change is not employee friendly and many are seeking other companies who are more employee centered. Since the new CEO came on board they omitted field service techs and customers are not happy with this change.

Good Entry Level Position

Pros

Very nice Corporate Office people. Decent products. Great place to learn basic sales and cold calling. Good launching point to get some experience so you are a little prepared to move to a large well-known Med Device company.

Cons

VERY late to the game with products. Nothing really considered “unique”, mostly “me too” products that would launch 2-3 years AFTER competition launches and establishes expansion. This made every call a “cold call” and selling the customer out of using the competing product when, sometimes, the competitor’s product made more sense or was better. Name recognition of the company is scarce, most people don’t know who Karl Storz is, so access to key physicians was much harder. External Friends of “upper management” tend to miraculously get hired, also, into management, making it extremely hard to move up in your career. The products are significantly more expensive than competitors. Not enough focus on disposable products and steady revenue.
