Pros

Overall Johnson Matthey had a good benefits package. The company had a number of extra activities to reward employees. Ex. Hot dog day, Ice cream day and so on.

Cons

I worked for security and hated working the 12 hr shifts. Johnson Matthey wanted its security officers to come into work a half hr early and in turn you'd get relieved early. However many officers wouldn't come in early and I would get stuck working extra without being paid for it. Of course the officers that came in late wouldn't get in trouble.

Pros

Pension, free lunch, not much else

Cons

Massively underpay, overwork, lots of redundancies with no regard for workload and expectations to carry on with even greater output, covering multiple people who have been let go. No progression. Business in being sold off part by part, reducing benefits gradually, no pay rise last year, less than half of inflation this year, essentially being paid less year on year in stagnant jobs but with the expectation to do more. Dying business.
