Pros

I very much enjoyed my many years at JCI until Alex Molinaroli took over as CEO. The company was growing, the work was interesting and rewarding and there was a real sense of team and sometimes even family and then it changed - dramatically.

Cons

When Alex took over the whole tone changed to an adversarial management style where mistakes were not an option and people were fired to "fix thing". The negative management style changes were compounded by leadership trust issues given the very poor ethical decision making by Alex in his personal life and the lack of any action by the board.

Pros

Benefits are decent, good products - chillers, batteries etc.

Cons

Mark my words in spite of SOX, Dodd Frank etc. this company is going to crash and burn. They are extremely unethical, the marriage to Tyco is like Bernie Madoff marrying Bernie Ebbers. Do a google search on the CEO for color. They notoriously acquire companies to enter markets and then don't integrate those companies into the mother ship but rather bleed them dry. I literally witnessed criminal activity (which I've reported) in MWK, I saw them take $25M in top line credit for shuffling paperwork in the wholesale energy market. And now they purchase Tyco with their checkered background to avoid paying corporate taxes. Hundreds if not thousands of quality employees have run from this place the last few years. For those who haven't yet I strongly urge you to get out.

Pros

There are no pros here.

Cons

The handling of it’s employees through the Covid-19 pandemic has been unethical to say the least. The company has informed us if we feel unsafe in any work environment we’re sent home without pay. If we have to self quarantine, no pay. I contracted covid was asymptomatic and brought it home to my wife and toddler.m, had to miss time and was unpaid when I contracted it working for them. Corporate send thank you emails from home on return, saying how much they appreciate us working through it. They don’t give a crap about their employees, their heath or their families. They put up a front of monthly safety meetings simplye to avoid litigation. Bo hazard pay or anything being offered as many other companies have done. Shareholder profits are more important here.
