Awesome Culture, No Balance

Pros

JetBlue is a culture farm -- they care about culture and it REALLY shows. The company does a great job of recruiting individuals with heart who can excel at bringing the company's mission and values to life. They offer comprehensive benefits and perks to take care of the employees.

Cons

There is not much balance, and those who care -- care a lot. It's not just a job (and in a way it shouldn't be), but it's sometimes hard to leave the office in the office -- depending on your position -- and check out once you are at home. Mostly a difficult working situation for a single parent, but still difficult for families.

Pros

Growing company so your seniority will steadily increase. Fun base cities. Beautiful training facility. Opportunity to grow and move around within the company.

Cons

NO UNION. They make it seem like there is no need for a union but in fact a union would have saved my career. There is not enough employee support without one. One of the lowest paid airlines in the industry. Terrible healthcare. Healthcare and compensation would be improved by union presence. Reserve is NOT fun but you will have to go through that at any airline so its something to think about when applying.

Pros

Every leader from the President to your peer is encouraging, supportive, and genuinely care for the well-being of our Customers, Crewmember, and Company. Excellent benefits and opportunity for professional growth. Flexible hours that support great work/life balance.

Cons

Salaries don't seem to line up with competitors. Crewmembers are overextended in their areas of responsibility to the point that it is challenging to uphold commitments.
