      Flexible hours and interesting work. Easy to make connections and talk to people. Ability to work on projects outside the scope of your work

      Sometimes you have to find work to do; the ability to work on projects outside the scope is a double-edged sword. Career advancement seems mostly determined by who you know; sometimes also applies to hiring "new" positions.
