Pros

You get paid on time, they have a 9-8-0 work schedule, the building is nice, the bathrooms are kept immaculate, they have a parking garage, and they have a deli in each of the two buildings in Houston.

Cons

If you like being discriminated against and enjoy a company that picks and chooses which rules they want to enforce for certain people while ignoring others who blatantly violate those rules, then this is the place for you. What's not okay for you is perfectly fine for others to do. Just depends on who it is. It's the worst "Good Ol' Boys" company you'll ever find. They choose to enforce policies based on who you are, not what you do, and no one is treated equitably. You will be ousted for "violating" policies while 5 times as many people who do the exact same thing are never even approached for openly "violating" the same policy. They will set you up so that it is impossible to accomplish what they ask, then accuse you of not performing, and, then they refuse to hear your side of any explanation. In 30 years of working in the engineering industry - as an engineer - I have never seen any company treat their employees as unprofessionally or as rudely as this company does. Run - don't walk - as fast as you can from this place.

Pros

Initially the pay was good but having been with the company for over three years and never receiving a raise, the pay is no longer good.

Cons

Management is the biggest joke around. It's acceptable behavior for management to degrade employees in front of others. There is absolutely NO help from HR; promises of "I'll get back to you" never happen. No community within the office and the office does nothing for the employees. So cheap, won't even buy flowers when an employee has a baby or an employee has a relative that passes, but "People are our best asset". IT is so far behind we can't even open things from our clients because we don't have updated software.

Pros

Big company so plenty of places to hide

Cons

To many to list, terrible clueless managers who are mates with the useless higher ups and are shockingly out of touch with people, the gulf between leadership and workers is miles and miles wide, they think they are above and better than the people who do work, truly and honestly awful company to work for with old stale middle managers who should not be leading people who have been stuck in the roles for 20+ years.. oh that’s another thing if you are looking for a career avoid Jacobs as they enjoy killing careers and free thinking individuals, they will give you a sales patter about how great they are but trust me they will kill your career, they do not invest in people and you will be stuck doing the same role for 10 years+ The only thing Jacobs care about is making a profit and they do it at expense of there people which they show little or no regard for. So Jacobs in summing up.. a company with awful old school management and 0 leaders, back stabbers and snakes who will take great delight in pushing you off the cliff if it makes them look good and a company where careers and people go to die.
