All style and very little substance (Camelback Inn)
Pros
- Most of the associates (and some less senior managers) on property are very friendly and helpful - Free hot meals and salad bar open in the employee cafe
Cons
- Wilful ignorance by the majority of management at all levels in response to employee reports of liability risks, suggestions for improvements, and requests for necessary job support - (3) associates I know from separate departments have asked about reasonable ADA accommodations for voluntarily disclosed disabilities in the past (6) months; all (3) associates have been subsequently harassed and targeted by property management using similar techniques that have become more severe over time (gaslighting, scapegoating, disciplined without receiving any tangible backup, being held to impossibly high standards over than their same level colleagues, and refusing to provide information that's critical for the associates to be successful at their job roles) - Company states they value diversity, inclusion, different perspectives, and new ideas, but respond to suggestions and constructive criticisms with a combination of defensiveness and dismissiveness - Management's most used phrase is "that's how it's always been"
