Humans as resources

Pros

They are using cutting edge technologies Good place to get familiar to new fields and to learn new technologies. If you are eager to learn, you will get what you want there. There are really talented people there. It was a joy to work with them and to learn from them.

Cons

After a while, you will get a nice book with some nice words in it. Claims to be the codex of JFROG and its work ethics. Big pompous words like integrity, open communication and care. Don't be fooled. This company has some semi cult features and they do love using big words to recruit the followers. Most of the time these are empty words. Instead you will find a place with tunes of politics, nepotism and favoritism. It is not your work which counts. Its are your ties and friends. For the rest, good luck Like any cult, if you are believer, keep believing. In exchange you will give away any shred of work-life balance, creativity and the joy to come to work. If you have a problem, don't expect your manager to help or the HR. The HR doesn't care of humans and see them as resources. Most of the non-technological management is unprofessional. They are very poor when it comes to lead people - it is hard to lead if you only expected to follow orders and to get results in any cost (upper management is occupied with the politics to be concern with the simple people). If you are not a believer or if you got into a conflict with the wrong people - beware, your days are numbered. Lots of people left in bad wibes. No other way to exit a cult. Goodbye and thanks for all the shirts

They act nice to your face

Cons

It’s what I’d imagine it would be like working in North Korea.

Pros

Great benefits, must have product for developers, money to be made, snacks in the office

Cons

The micromanagement is INSANE. Daily role-playing sessions, emails from managers on nights and weekends, constant scrutiny on all aspects of the deal cycle. Positive feedback is rarely given and working in sales here is like being in the military. When it came time for new hires to meet our CHRO, she showed a video that best exemplified Jfrog values. It was a Navy Seals commencement speech, with an admiral talking about hell week. The irony was completely lost on them. For any future dads planning on starting a family, be aware that this company only gives out 4 days for paternity leave. That's less than most retail jobs in the US. Hybrid role even though the job mainly consists of setting zoom meetings with clients. Mandated 3 days in the office, even when there's a public holiday.
