Pros

A lot of training, good opportunity to learn and get a lot of experience condensed into a short amount of time. High pay for inexperienced new graduates. There are some select managers that are excellent, but these are rare.

Cons

Consistently worked 20 and 30 hours of overtime in a week, and was not additionally compensated for it. Some management does not appreciate extra hours and work done but comes to expect it. Harassment from line workers is the norm and was not addressed.

Pros

Business covers three different protein segments which protects the company’s long-term future, continual focus on growth, cheap health insurance (~$210/month for family) w/employer contribution toward annual deductible ($500/individual, $1,000/family), annual bonuses based on performance, short & long-term disability.

Cons

Very lean - you will work a lot. HORRIBLE 401k retirement plan (50% match up to 4%, so a 2% max employer contribution) and a 5-year vesting schedule on top of that.
