Pros

Big name - Ipsos has an excellent brand Opportunities - classes, seminars, perks etc Social events etc Opportunity to work on really interesting projects Client handling in first year - great experience Felt nurtured, complaints were listened to, progression handled well and personally tailored

Cons

Only a good company if you are someone who wants to slave away (at the expense of your mental health) in the desperate hope of being recognised and finally getting a £2k pay rise… Culture relies on people overworking for approval (hidden by using traits like “conscientious” or “team player” aka please compromise your personal boundaries in order to get the work done!) Lots of people get signed off for mental health issues directly related to workplace stress Early career stages (grad scheme etc) have fast progression and growth but slow beyond that - 5 years of hard graft and you might finally hit £40k if you receive perfect feedback Toxic feedback culture - any mishap is reported to manager without being discussed first and could stop you being promoted for a whole year (only limited promotion windows which have to be extensively applied for I.e. completing a very long promotion form with your manager - not a role where simple hard work is spontaneously rewarded

Pros

Nothing to say as a pro for this company

Cons

Attributes are presented in a way when hiring. After starting the position, I was told that I had to take over other duties of a department. More tasks completed, same salary. In the information session, it was announced that after taking over the tasks from the department in question, we will be given the attributions from the initial tasks, but it did not happen. The benefits package is presented completely differently in the employment offer. In reality, it is subject to extra charges that you are not informed about. The salary increase mentioned in the ROI, related to the 6 months of seniority, did not happen. Meetings are held to listen to the employees' opinions, but they are not taken into account and no clear answer is given.
