Culture of fear and lack of integrity

Pros

reasonable salary and flexible working at senior level

Cons

There is a real fear amongst senior people in the organisation. In any 'normal' company they would have autonomy and support to make decisions but not here. The CFO is an agressive bullie who always wants to find fault, apportion blame and do anything to save money. People do not feel empowered to to take decisions and if they do, they live with the fear that it might be the wrong one and will be fired as a result. The oppression is stifling creativity and the business is simply not performing as a result yet the 2 most senior people dont understand this. Its a shame - been a great company to work but time to move on - and I know I am not alone in feeling this way.

Pros

Friendly team mates Team activities, annual dinner Medical and dental claims Good amount of knowledge in the beginning

Cons

Workload: most of the time is high workload, need to work overtime and weekend. Job is very high demand and pressured. Teamwork: tend to push responsibility to each other when problem arises. Bad collaboration as everyone only focus on self interest, putting blame to another and don't want to work extra hence no solution to problem. Promotion: very slow, many got stuck at senior position because no opportunity. Or they create fake roles which makes you work extra without monetary reward, supposedly to motivate you to think you are useful and important to the company Remuneration: salary increment is very very low each year even though management keep saying we made profit and growth in every meeting. It is the lowest in the market, senior pay here=junior pay outside, manager pay here=senior pay outside. Bonus amount is not good also, close to none. Senior management: always appear to be very open and suppotive but most things are not up for discussion.
