Pros

The pay is slightly above average.

Cons

Ipsos SMX continuously fails to supply their employees with the structure necessary to succeed in a fast-paced, high-volume role. Leadership has clear favorites, making it difficult to do well and stand-out if you're not one of the gang. Employees are expected to buy-into a relatively toxic workplace culture in exchange for nothing but continued stress. The tasks and responsibilities of my role would be spread across 2 or more individuals at any other organization. If you so choose to seek-out support, leadership will instead micromanage and berate you for being incapable of handling the workload of 2+ people in an entry-level role. While the compensation is slightly above average, I urge you to know that it simply isn't worth your mental health and stability. I urge you to avoid this toxic, kool-aid culture at all costs.

Pros

- 3 Weeks PTO and 2 floating holidays - Ability to work from home if need be

Cons

- Minimal to no work/life balance (50-65 hr work weeks just starting off). Have to work on weekends more often than not just to keep up with work load. - Terrible pay for the amount of time you put in. - No sense of direction among management. - Stressful. - Obvious, intentional, divide between entry level positions and account level positions. They have an "I'm too good for you" attitude. - Lack of culture.

Pros

The benefits offered after 3 months

Cons

I worked at Ipsos and was taken advantage of as a young graduate working in my first role after graduation. My manager acted like she was open to supporting me and left me completely isolated and manipulated me constantly. My mental health detoriated and I was used as a mule, constantly trying to please all the senior members of staff. The lack of transparency during role, obvious hierarchy, treated like a lesser person as an intern The workplace politics - pathetic cliques in the workplace. Lack of racial diversity - racial insensitivity and racist undertones while working which HR avoids Talked about workplace flexibility but completely ignored my need for flexibility as an intern who lived 2 hours away. HR incompetence - Talking to colleagues about confidential personal information without my knowledge. Accidently overpaid after I left the company, I have had to deal with repayment while unemployed. I have suffered a great deal because of my financial situation. This has led me to write about the company and what I went through, I would not want any young intern to work for IPSOS Mori without knowing how awful your senior collegues and HR managers can treat you. My own manager disposed of me without clear evidence of the reasons why, because I am an intern, the contract was vague and allowed termination without notice for any inconvenience. Please be careful before you go to this company as a young intern, I regret ever working here.
