Needs some cultural adjustments

Pros

The company also has offices in 65+ countries, so there is a lot of opportunity for travel and growth.

Cons

The culture at Ipsos is very out dated. Think stuffy 90's corporate office with little to no flair. The company does not make their employees feel valued or cared about. This day in age, with companies like Microsoft, Google, and Facebook, the lack of excitement in the culture is only personified in the overall work environment. Their offices are not fun, inventive, or dynamic. Everyone works 9-5, sits at their desks for lunch, and live lackluster working lives.

Pros

excellent colleagues, interesting job scope

Cons

I joined thinking I was signing up for a junior research role — what I didn’t expect was being automatically dumped into something called “Generation Ipsos,” a program nobody warned me about during the interview. This isn’t training — it’s a time-wasting, exhausting mess of pointless activities. From endless so-called “trainings” to forced CSR events that eat into your personal time, all without a single cent of extra compensation. None of these contribute to your actual job growth, yet you're expected to participate like it's part of your job description. The worst part? Zero transparency from the recruiter. Not a word about this program was mentioned. You’re led to believe you’re here to learn and grow in your field — instead, you’re treated like free labor for their internal PR efforts. If you’re a fresh grad thinking of applying, think twice. You deserve to know what you're really signing up for.

Pros

Some interesting projects and able to network with a variety of organisations across the public sector and charity sector.

Cons

Awful work/life balance. Despite being explicit about lack of resource and time to do projects, this would fall on deaf ears. The organisation only cares about making shareholders money so the actual people don't matter. The seniors are very good at saying the right think to appear that they care but actions prove otherwise. Saw clear cases of discrimination and favouritism, given that some people seemed to be highly favoured despite doing little work. Strange environment where people weren't very friendly or open so being in the office often felt uncomfortable and cliquey. Very damaging to mental wellbeing so only worth being here if you can grin and bear it for the connections and clout, which can be used as a springboard for your career.
