Do you enjoy late nights?

Pros

- Staying late nearly every day - Awful pay - Senior people that only look out for themselves - Constantly under resourced projects for the sake of making a small profit. - Watch someone cry nearly every day. - Little to no thanks for killing yourself day in, day out. - Hate bonuses? This is your dream job. - Crap equipment that struggles to open Excel at the best of times. - The worst benefits ever. Overall, sterling job.

Cons

Honestly, just don't do it, even if you're desperate for a job you'd be happier on the dole until something comes along.

It's a good place

Pros

They treat you well, try to develop you, respect you, and try to make work enjoyable. It's still consulting so it has all of the same challenges but they understand those challenges. It's a good place to be with good people.

Cons

It can be hard to move around and explore new avenues of work within the company. They try to accommodate but it's still long and slow. Also the bureaucracy is maddening.

We agree that Ipsos is a good place to be with good people, and think it’s great you are exploring different career path options here. Remember, you should work closely with your HR partner to identify the many options available, as well as regularly check out the Career Opportunities and International Transfer Program pages on the Intranet which are updated regularly. And, don’t be too impatient if these things take a bit of time. When the right opportunity comes around, it will be worth it.

Job review at Ipsos

Pros

Friendly co-workers, okay benefits plan, can make own schedule within what is offered in hours

Cons

Managers compare long-term staff against new staff, no more rewards for staff, no way to raise pay beyond a certain level, no room for advancement in company, poor equipment on the phones and computers being slow and freezing or cutting out. Surveys not written clearly, easily and concisely. No steady hours. Training on surveys is rushed and conflicting directions given from one manager to the next.
