Pros

The company ONLY has good benefits.

Cons

This is a warning...DO NOT BECOME A COMMUNITY MANAGER FOR SMX in LA or Cincinnati! Your life will be ruined. There is NO work-life balance. They care nothing for your well-being. They will try and convince you that everything is nice and awesome. THIS IS NOT TRUE!! twelve community managers have left since May of 2015 (that says a lot about the job/management). I would never offer this position/opportunity to my worst enemy. You've been warned!

Thank you for your feedback on advice to management. We value all feedback that is given and will continuously find ways to constantly improve. We’d also like to take the opportunity to address the concerns you have brought up. Work-life balance is an important topic and we strive to provide balance through our benefits and work environment offerings. In fact, our commitment to supporting and promoting work-life balance is even in our handbook and we try to provide this support in a number of ways. For example, we are pleased to offer flexible work arrangements to accommodate important personal needs such as attending a medical appointment or even as simple as needing more time or change in environment to write that difficult client report. SMX is one of our fastest growing divisions not only at Ipsos, but also in the industry and we could not have achieved this level of success without our talented employees who commit to delivering nothing but the best to our clients. In this regard, we completely understand and admit to the potential strain it may have on work-life balance and take this into serious consideration in our staffing plans. We also take opportunities to thank our staff for the value that their commitment brings - for example, our recognition program last year recognized more than a few hundred recipients who have gone above and beyond during those urgent peak periods. We are sorry to hear that you have left Ipsos and we wish you the best in your new endeavors – thank you again for your feedback.

Pros

Great people to work with, helpful and collaborative. Good PTO and holiday time off. Can move up pretty quickly if on the right team and good at your job, though some teams seem to promote much slower than others. Hybrid environment where offices stayed open but you get to decide if you want to come in; negative to that is offices can feel empty almost all the time.

Cons

Job security was more important in the past and the company seemed to put a big emphasis on that. Since the new CEO came in about two years ago, I've heard of more layoffs than during my whole time at Ipsos. Moral is down and the company now has a strict no T&E policy unless specifically for a client, further distancing teams not in the same city. Work-life-balance can be horrible at times, or even throughout the entire year for some people, completely burning them out. Pay is also low compared to other companies and upper management doesn't seem to care. Seems like a lot of people have been quitting recently due to all of this and I know of many more who are actively trying to leave.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We are proud of our designation as a Great Place to Work, but require feedback like this to ensure we continue to be. It is correct that we have set limits on expenses to avoid further reduction of our most important asset, our people. Many teams are having a strong year while some have experienced decline. We launched a Career Mobility program to ensure that we transfer talent internally whenever an opportunity presents. Your HR partner would welcome hearing from you directly if you have specific suggestions for improvement, and can offer support in addressing concerns about wellbeing and work life balance.

Pros

Flexible working hours. Most of the other interviewers are nice people.

Cons

A lot of supervisors treat the interviewers like dirt. Management are worse. They don't know what they're doing. The office is falling apart. Old Equipment. Disgusting toilets.
