Pros

Flexible shifts (zero hours) and some other telephone interviewers are nice to work with.

Cons

Unprofessional supervisors, who think its perfectly fine to talk to people in a condescending manner and swear and use other vulgar language in the call centre. Having to also work on dirty computers, seats and use cramped break rooms doesn't help either. The toilets are absolutely filthy to use at the weekend, as they aren't cleaned until the end of the day, unlike when the managers are in during the week.

Pros

Flexible working hours (when available). That's it!

Cons

Creepy male supervisors trying to ask you out during your shift. Creepy drunk married managers from the office twice the age of you, who think its perfectly acceptable to chat you up at Christmas parties with the promise of unlimited shifts and upgrade of pay-grade! Toilets which don't get cleaned at the weekend. Dealing with middle-aged female office managers who are jealous of your age and thin body and make your life hell. Coffee machines which are broken half the time that you have to pay for, while the managers get their coffee for free.

Pros

(I worked from home, and, if you do decide to apply, I would strongly recommend you do the same) Mostly easy, flexible worth Working from home is encouraged Targets are typically attainable A few genuinely nice, helpful supervisors

Cons

A true dead end of a job. The scripts that you're often forced to read verbatim are mostly robotic, long-winded, and liable to put your listener to sleep. Being forced to call the 70+ crowd after 8pm about Brexit will make you lose the will to live. Inconsistent feedback from supervisors. Often left to your own devices, which is an issue on some of the more complicated projects. Dull, repetitive, and frequently demoralising - you deserve better than this. I've heard some horror stories about the Leith call centre - especially bad for young women.
