Pros

None. Got recruited then trained and thats it.

Cons

After passing the telephone interview and then passing the training day assessment, I was told that work was a bit quiet during the summer. But after 3 weeks of not being able to book shifts, I phoned up and asked why they had recruited me when there was no work! I got told they have to have a certain number of interviewers on their interviewing panel even when there's no/little work!I requested to be removed from their panel and told them they should have been straight with me and my fellow training group at the start. Total waste of their and my time.

Pros

Some great peers and researchers to work with. Access to large clients gives some great learning opportunities. Lots of interesting work. Good training opportunities and some really smart people doing the training. Endless supply of work.

Cons

Management is determined to squeeze all it can out of current employees. In a flat industry, the intent seems to be to increase profitability by asking people to do more, with less. When business is slow, the cuts are made. But where there is growth, hiring is painfully slow. Really poor work/life balance. If you need help, you have to find someone to pitch in, and they are already busy. Operational processes are cumbersome and time consuming, taking much needed time away from focusing on clients. Bonuses are completely discretionary. Nobody understands how their own performance is linked to what is paid. Bonuses are a fraction of what they were a few years ago.

Pros

- broad expertise and solutions - International clients -Some great research experts - some great people on a personal and professional level who can teach you a lot

Cons

-poor planning just focus on monthly sales, not mid / long term plans - very poor management of people and ressources : best performers are rewarded with more and more projects and responsabilities with immense pressure until they cannot handle it and then have to quit or burn out (4 cases in the last 4 months) - low performers are kept in their position but will not be encouraged to improve or do better whatsoever : this management rewards mediocrity while the best are encouraged to quit -Human ressources is inexistent -People are asked to work extra hours during nights, and week ends -Management do not listen but is always keen to showcase their "so called" Ipsos values but they never apply it to themselves -lagging behind the others agencies on innovation -last but not least the previous CFO has misappropriated the employee bonuses! But he still get another job in Switzerland... ha ha
