      Great culture!

      Pros

      Many long-tenure employees with deep experience and deep humility, which is rare in the competitive Bay Area. Great culture, starting with mutual trust and respect, and with leadership's transparently about our strategy - leadership share much more with employees than is typical so this helps to build a feeling of unity instead of silo'ed.

      Cons

      Work hour can sometimes be longer around product launch, or key milestones. Documentation heavy during some periods depending on the phase of projects and programs, but typical of most medical device companies.

      The best place to be a mechanical engineer!

      Amazing mission statement Kind and talented coworkers Interesting and challenging work Good work life balance Good compensation Transparency from upper management, CEO seems to actually know what's going on

      Cons

      Promotions vary from team to team and can feel slow or unfair 401k match is very little

      Love the people, love the product

      Pros

      The coworkers are great. People are collaborative and here because they want to use their talents to improve healthcare. The products we work on truly make a posititve impact in people's lives, which is always motivating even during a "blah" workday grind.

      Cons

      Overall not much. There are defintely fewer professional-level working mothers here than at a (similar) prior company I worked for. However, it seems like Intuitive is invested in supporting employees who want to balance being working parents while continuing to develop in their career.
