Pros

The coworkers are great. People are collaborative and here because they want to use their talents to improve healthcare. The products we work on truly make a posititve impact in people's lives, which is always motivating even during a "blah" workday grind.

Cons

Overall not much. There are defintely fewer professional-level working mothers here than at a (similar) prior company I worked for. However, it seems like Intuitive is invested in supporting employees who want to balance being working parents while continuing to develop in their career.

Pros

Intuitive has been a great place to work. They offer excellent health benefits and a strong compensation package. I have loved using the cafeteria daily for lunch. The food is delicious and with the company subsidy, my meals average $5!

Cons

In many ways Intuitive is a lean company with a start-up mindset. The processes are constantly evolving which can be difficult to stay on top of.

Great mission with growing pains

Pros

Most people I've worked with at Intuitive truly believe in the mission and the goals of the organization. It's something that isn't just talked about. The pay has been quite good, and the stock is great.

Cons

Intuitive has grown rapidly in the past several years and seems as though it will continue that way. That has come with significant growing pains. Getting work done is sometimes the hardest part of the job. Process looks clean on paper, but is extremely messy in practice. Much of middle management are brand new to the organization and in some teams/departments that makes it much harder to onboard new employees. Experiences will vary wildly depending on the department that you work for. Work/life balance is a challenge. Late meetings are commonplace, as is reaching out to employees on PTO, and being asked to work remotely during PTO. Returning from a short vacation to a mountain of work is also recurring experience. Teams are lean with little redundancy. As good as the pay is, the opportunities for career development and promotion seem to be limited. A documented year of high-performance and meeting all goals doesn't mean a good increase in salary will follow.
