Pros
A select few people to learn from. Lots of high end analytical equipment to gain experience with. Above average pay. Lots of easy non-analyst roles.
Cons
Nothing is convenient for you as an analyst at intertek everything is made as difficult as possible. Flexitime isn't flexible, training is pretty non existent, management have absolute power, and regularly abuse it, constant lies and back stabbing by management you'll never be rewarded for doing well and always punished for a mistake. All projects are misquoted by the business development team, who have barely any scientific background creating situations where analyst are set up to fail, constantly beating them down. Over the top yet ineffective quality systems, absolutely everything is still paper based, in 2020, paper, and they are too stuck in there ways to change, all suggestions to improve are ignored.
