Constant innovation coupled with a highly structured work enviroment

Pros

Working with the IxDF has been quite an experience with a well-balanced mix of innovation and routine. The work is often dynamic and pushes boundaries in various areas. Constant innovation coupled with a highly structured work enviroment keeps things interesting, though it sometimes leads to a fast-paced environment that can be challenging. Challenging in the good way and where you grow. The culture here is inclusive, with a team that values diversity and collaboration. The flexibility in work hours is a plus. This aspect makes managing personal and professional life easier, contributing positively to overall job satisfaction. Professional development opportunities are constant and always-available, it just depends on your own thirst for learning and growth. Lots of diversity of projects offers a chance to learn and grow, but it’s up to you to show that you're willing and capable of growing. Team collaboration is generally good, with diverse backgrounds contributing to a rich pool of ideas. However, this sometimes leads to differing opinions and approaches, which can be both a source of creativity and a challenge in reaching consensus. IxDF's values and mission is commendable. Being part of these initiatives is really personally fulfilling.

Cons

Overall, working at IxDF has its ups and downs like any other place of work. It’s a place of growth and challenge, suitable for those who value personal and professional growth and are comfortable navigating occasional ambiguities.

Pros

All in all, IxDF is a cool place if you’re into professional growth and learning. It’s got its ups and downs, but it’s mostly ups in my book. Like some of the other reviews say, the mission makes it fulfilling, adding a lot of heart to the business side of things. The team is generally amazing. A group of diverse people coming together. We got moments of disagreement but I feel we need to learn to disagree more, and not less. Too often, we avoid the discomfort of disagreement. For personal and professional growth the opportunities are endless if you just show consistent results.

Cons

None that I can think of right now. Mostly normal stuff.

A transformative journey

Pros

Joining IxDF has been a transformative journey, not just professionally but in the way I view work and collaboration. At IxDF, we depend on self-governance, transparency, and trust rather than authority. This paradigm shift has strengthened my sense of responsibility and professional pride, where I am accountable not just for my tasks but also for the collective success of our team. This is an aspect that can make some people uncomfortable: When you are given the freedom to govern yourself, you’ll need to live up to that freedom with maturity, self-discipline and consistency. The culture at IxDF is built on openness, trust, and a co-creative spirit, which has been incredibly empowering. It encourages us to base our life and work on these values, which generates enthusiasm and a sense of shared purpose. However, when someone in the team breaches the trust, then a whole team can suffer. That’s why it’s so important to keep each other accountable to high standards and honesty. The IxDF culture is anchored in a growth mindset, a stark contrast to the fixed mindset prevalent in many traditional companies. This approach has spurred (pushed?) me to see challenges/tasks/hardships as opportunities for growth, pushing me beyond my comfort zone and to continually strive to learn, learn, and learn. And yes, being outside your comfort zone is, as the name suggests, not always comfortable. But that’s how we grow. If you want an easy job and don’t like growing, then IxDF is not for you. As the career video on our career page says, we are driven by intrinsic motivation, focusing on self-discipline, self-motivation, and self-reliance. That’s why working at IxDF feels not just like a job; it's more of a passion and learning journey. This perspective has reshaped my approach to work, transforming it from a mere occupation to a journey of fulfillment and continuous learning. And…. don’t forget; a lot of consistent and intense work. Learning and growth only happens through consistency and a lot of effort.

Cons

Being a fully remote team, we have experienced some team members who have chosen to work remotely for the wrong reasons; they’re not fully committed and not here to do their best work. Recently, we’ve faced a few tough but necessary decisions. We had to say goodbye to some team members who weren't fully embracing our core values, particularly trustworthiness and self-government. It's crucial for us to work in an environment where we can rely on each other and strive to do our best. Unfortunately, they fell short in these areas, impacting our team dynamic and overall mission. Parting ways, though difficult, is essential for keeping our team's integrity and motivation intact.
