Terrible benefits, disorganized company, mediocre pay, pushy recruiters

Pros

- Remote positions available - Coworkers

Cons

- Benefits aren't great, Their coverage options are sparse, pricey, and cover almost nothing. - Company feels disorganized. While onboarding and dealing with benefits, it seems like there's no dedicated HR team. Got a problem with your 401k enrollment? Too bad, Question about healthcare? Here's a generic pamphlet. You'll be left to deal with it on your own, and the recruiter you work with has no idea how to help. The recruiters are downright pushy. During the hiring process, there was pressure to work on their incredibly fast timeline. I understand that time kills all deals, but they were pushing for interviews to be done within 24 hours. Not only is this little time for the candidate to prepare, but it is also hard to schedule if you work a full-time schedule (and they're not sympathetic at all).

Pros

I have zero pros. If you want to be taken seriously in the corporate world, run far away.

Cons

Terrible management, terrible culture, fake people, lies, bullying, favoritism. This is not a job you would be proud of. Run.

Pros

They teach you to learn to be highly anxious living on edge worried daily about your job so it teaches you sense or urgency and how to work hard.

Cons

Honest review from a very high producing long term employee of 15 years - now that my non-compete has fully ran it's course. I debated even posting this, because I am still in a healing phase from this toxic company that mentally treats their employees like absolute dog all the while they are laughing their way to the bank and they sit in their multi-million dollar homes in Roswell, Ga. Also, they painted me as a monster when I left and only a very very small amount of people (5 in total) reached out to me to see if I was okay. Mind you, hundreds of individuals at this company has said they "truly cared about me and my mental health and well being" I am sure this review will be dubbed "lies" from a "disgruntled employee"... Don't let them gaslight you into thinking that. I actually considered this place home and family and defended their behavior for over a decade. Look up the word NARCISSIST in the dictionary and you will get a textbook definition of what this company is and how it will treat you. They gaslight you into thinking you are NOTHING without them and all other staffing companies are plebes in comparison to them. They will constantly tell you that you can't make as much money anywhere else (this is so false because industry wide they pay the lowest in base as well as commission for their recruiters). If you don't drink the Kool aid you are as good as dead to them even if you produce insane numbers and are wildly successful. They disguise themselves as being holier than thou with their ridiculous farces of shared values which executive leadership and management NEVER even follows themselves. Management at IG is a complete joke, trust me I had one that didn't know her backside from her brain and couldn't follow through on completing a task of her life depending on it. They will say they care about you as a person but in reality they ONLY care about making money and lots of it. They make their employees PAY for contractors PTO as well as state mandated sick time, Covid pay and government federal holidays. Don't make the mistake of telling them anything personal about you, they will use that for more manipulative tactics to get you to think you're just a terrible person. They also have a bunch of young adults still living out the work hard play hard mentality and they typically will get high, drunk or use other drugs to get their fixes on company paid compass trips or team outings. I know this for a fact as it was done on several of my office trips by several senior level account managers and professional recruiters that are now leads. Let's talk about the HR nightmare that is Compass where you travel to an out of town (or a few hours away) location where you spend a weekend "getting vulnerable" and telling all your coworkers your lowest moments in life so they can get to know you better. You are forced to do this and if you don't attend you are essentially shunned from the team and treated like an outcast. Don't even think to air your grievances to anyone other than management (but even when you do nothing is done because they have zero power). If you do that they do something highly illegal (confirmed by a lawyer) and they will send you a formal email telling you to zip it and you aren't allowed to talk to coworkers about any frustrations... They professionally tell you to sit down and shut up and just do your job.... Really sounds like that shared value "we take care of one another" and "everyone matters" Also, someone needs to check with their data team since I have it on good authority they are manipulating data to steal some of your spread and commission. Also, stop giving money to their own foundation. You're essentially just giving money back to IG.
