Pros

As the great Alanis Morissette would say "you live, you learn." I learned exactly what I do not want in a career, company, coworker, and manager.

Cons

I could do this for days and have a truly amazing time, but I'll keep it brief. If you yearn to return to high school and experience every terrible aspect of being in a sorority / fraternity while also having a toxic relationship with everyone you know, then this is the place for you! Oh, you don't? Shocker. DO. NOT. WORK. HERE. I don't care how desperate you are for a job, you are better off working at a coffee shop until you find an actual career where adults are treated and compensated like adults. The managers here are incompetent, selfish, and immature (and that's not just lower management). You will be micromanaged, under appreciated, gossiped about, and pressured into (punished if you resist) forming relationships with your coworkers who can be described using the same adjectives above. All while making $31k and learning useless skills on a sinking ship with no lifeboats. When leaving this job, I had an interviewer tell me explicitly that they were nervous about bringing me in for an interview because my last position was at this company. If you interview for this job, first of all, you will get it because they hire anyone, and you WILL regret it.

Pros

-You have the opportunity to make a lot of friends to hang out with, and that will understand the BS you put up with on a daily basis. The bright side of the personality that IG looks for, you end up working with a lot of cool people that have similar interests, etc. -If you've ever wanted to be a part of a cult, look no further. -If you like drinking and partying like you're still in college, this is the place for you!

Cons

-40 hours a week? Try closer to 50+, you don't get paid extra for hours worked outside of 8-5 either. -They try to shove this mentality of how much they care about their "people" down your throats and how we're all a family. But the reality is that as soon as you're out of there, they couldn't care less. -Be prepared to be looked down upon (and talked poorly about/or "confronted") if you don't wear a full faced of make up, 4 inch heels and dress to the nines every single day. -If management doesn't like you, they'll force you into being miserable or quitting by not allowing you to be "client-facing" and encouraging you to "go the pro route" (pro recruiter instead of account manager).. Recruiting for them sucks so much that most people quit once they realize there's no potential there. -Anxiety and stress shoved down your throat 24/7 about things you can't control or are forced to handle because account managers are too lazy to handle it themselves i.e. firing a contractor in the middle of your weekend. - Working yourself to the point of having a mental breakdown, is pretty much encouraged! I hope you like crying in the bathroom. -Remember those mean girls in high school that were shallow, materialistic and two faced? This is where they get hired! -The pay is awful.

Pros

- Met some good friends, we bonded over our shared horrific experiences here

Cons

- Working 6am-9pm without overtime and being paid less than 35k (which is illegal and they now have a lawsuit) - Threatening to fire people if they didn't curl their hair, wear heels or wear A TON of makeup - Leaders send sexist emails to the whole company describing other women as "disgusting" because they weren't wearing makeup on their flight - Being forced to flirt with potential clients to get business - Having a horrible scare tactic company culture - No growth and lies about money
