Toxic, fake culture

Pros

At the time, they had free alcohol and food, but I don't believe they do that anymore

Cons

You're expected to work more than 40 hours. 40 hours MINIMUM. They have "a time" and "b time", aka "here's things you need to do between 7:30a - 6p (a-time), but then there's other things you need to do for work outside of working hours on your own time (b-time). It's disgusting. BUT! They get away with it because did you know there's not a single person at this company that's worked in corporate anywhere else?? Like seriously - not even the CEO. Every single person at this company has NEVER worked at another corporate company. The toxic kool-aid runs thick. Plus, you need to be in office minimum 3 days a week, hit crazy metrics, attend in person activity weekly, spend your dinners and happy hours with your team or clients, and they don't encourage many friendships outside of the ones you make at work. The micro managing is absolutely insane. And the base salary is extremely low - $43k for ATL AMs. The managers and RVPs are toxic - they've forced people to go to rehab and sales managers will tell people theyre going to get promoted only for the sales managers to share with the AMs that they'll never actually get promoted and have a "what are we going to do with her - let's just send her to corporate" attitude. It's insane!

Worst company ever

Pros

Other recruiters were amazing people for the most part

Cons

I am actually amazed this company hasn’t been sued into bankruptcy by now. This is by far the worst job I ever had. Hours are terrible, job responsibilities are terrible, management is extremely unprofessional and immature, often saying things that were blatantly racist, sexist, homophobic, you name it. We often had drama openly unfolding during office hours with account managers literally yelling at coworkers in the middle of the office for everyone to hear. It’s really just a hub for former sorority/fraternity/athletes to be employed somewhere that allows them to carry on their cult-like mindset. The turnover is laughably high- most recruiters were in and out within 6-8 months in my time there. When I voiced my concerns about seeing account managers flirt with clients to get business to another account manager, I was told that flirting to get clients was just “apart of the job”. Girl recruiters were routinely chastised for their appearance, always required to wear make up and high heels every single day and were brought into the back for a firm talking to if they didn’t comply. A few girls prior to my employment experienced actual sexual harassment by another employee who was then transferred to a different office upon complaints. Don’t buy into the glitz and glamour they try to feed you upon hiring. It’s all fake and not worth it. I feel like I have PTSD from how toxic this environment was.

Pros

Your co-workers will be very helpful

Cons

-Management preaches "culture". This is a MAJOR red flag -Your opinions and concerns will not be listened to -Management will micro-manage you -Each department lives on their own set of rules and there is no consistency -Pay is SO low -Turnover is constant and your workload will consistently increase because so many people quit -Leaving this company and starting a new position was like night and day in the best way possible -I highly encourage people to quit and realize their potential else where -401k matching is $250 a year -Healthcare is SO expensive
