Pros

Since this will be the worst experience of your life, every company you work for after this will seem like paradise.

Cons

Insight global seriously needs to be investigated. This is not a one-off review from a unsatisfied employee having a “bad experience”. The issues at IG are systemic and every former employee can agree that there are numerous illegal and unethical practices and behavior that are engrained in their culture. The fact that multiple people have written reviews about how they have had to go to therapy after being traumatized from working here says all you need to know. If you are looking for specific examples I highly encourage you to search insight global on TikTok and watch the videos of former employees describing their experience and the hundreds of comments from people bonding on their trauma (“insight global survivor” is a common term used). Countless people have been saying for years that there should be a Netflix documentary released on what it’s like to work there. Do you realize how bad a workplace has to be for people to say that? However bad you think it is I promise you it’s 10x worse.

Pros

Tempting option for a first job out of college.

Cons

Toxic Culture: The work environment at Insight Global is rife with toxicity. There's a constant pressure to meet unrealistic expectations, which fosters a cutthroat atmosphere among colleagues. The lack of genuine support or camaraderie leaves employees feeling isolated and stressed. Early Morning Role-Playing and Pointless Office Hours: Starting your day with role-playing at 7 am feels forced and unproductive. Additionally, being expected to be in the office by 7:30 am, only to find there's no real purpose for the early hours, is frustrating and a waste of time. Forced In-Office Work: Despite the changing landscape of work, Insight Global insists on forcing employees to work in the office. This inflexibility can be demotivating and ignores the benefits of remote work. Anxiety-Inducing Time Off Requests: Seeking time off is met with anxiety as employees fear backlash or consequences for taking time for themselves, creating an unhealthy work-life balance. Misleading "Fun" Incentives: Insight Global tries to entice employees with happy hours and work events, but it's disappointing to find out that you have to pay for everything or suffer through them without enjoying the experience fully. Judgment for Missing After-Work Events: If you're unable to attend after-work events, you can expect judgment and disapproval from management and colleagues, creating unnecessary stress and guilt. Unprofessional Leadership Behavior: The leadership's practice of blocking or unfollowing employees on social media after they leave the company is unprofessional and lacks respect for personal boundaries. Isolation and Lost "Friendships": Many "friendships" within Insight Global seem to be superficial and contingent on remaining with the company. When you leave, don't expect genuine support from former colleagues. Pyramid Scheme Allegations: There have been concerns raised by some about Insight Global's business model, with some likening it to a pyramid scheme, adding another layer of concern for potential employees. In summary, Insight Global may offer a stepping stone for recent graduates, but its toxic culture, rigid policies, and unprofessional behavior of leadership make it a company to approach with caution. The alleged pyramid scheme-like structure and the loss of genuine connections with colleagues further add to the drawbacks of working there.

Pros

I get paid on time, that's about it

Cons

I will put some blame on myself, I signed the offer letter without noticing PTO, Federal Holidays, etc. was missing. i was informed about no PTO/Holidays off after I entered holiday pay on Memorial Day. Problem is as a Federal D.O.D. contractor it's 10 Holidays per year. So that's 2 weeks of leave without pay I will have to take. Unacceptable. Not including the days I take because of emergencies, feeling sick, etc. So I'm pretty much being used as a 1099 contractor without 1099 contractor pay. Not to mention the benefits package is EXPENSIVE. Being paid weekly, it will cost over $400 a week for family insurance alone. If you're a seasoned contractor that been in the business for some time, steer clear of IG. If you're new to the contracting world, use this as a stepping stone to get your foot in the door.
