I worked at the bottom-tier, retail level. It paid. That's the most a late teen with no skills could possibly expect, really; and I was grateful for what it was. "Never work for a company willing to hire you," at least at that age.

Cons

Viciously abused the WOTC in hiring practices. Don't expect to be employed (at the lowest levels, it's obviously different higher up) for more than a few months. Now, this may not be fair, for all I know there might be no other way to run a grocery chain. If you're a loser with no skills, it still beats the heck out of unemployment.

Pros

Co-workers were fun and easy to get along with and the job isn't too hard.

Cons

Management was not super friendly and even though raises were supposed to given every year, I never received one. Low pay for anyone trying to support a family.
