Pros

Their corporate campuses in India are beautiful and the corporate training at their Global Education Centre in Mysore, India was a good experience. When I got sent back to the US to do actual work, there was no work for me to do, so I ended up collecting five months full-time salary for sitting around my apartment doing nothing.

Cons

Bureaucracy up the wazoo. Salary sucks, and everybody is treated equally regardless of talent. People are assigned to projects not based on talent or employees' wishes, but based on the roll of the dice.

Pros

The training offered by the company to the fresh graduates is of exceptional quality. The infrastructure at Infosys is of world class and the company spends a lot on maintaining the campus green and clean wherever it has it's presence. If you join the company as a lateral employee, you will be offered a better pay than people who begin their career as a trainee. The pay you get when you are posted on-site is significantly higher compared to other firms. There are many retail outlets and restaurants which offer discounts for employees of Infosys. There are many recreational facilities like gym, bowling arena, etc. available in the campus for the employees to relax.

Cons

If you have joined the company as a trainee, you cannot expect to work in the same technology that you were trained on. You may have been trained in Java but while moving to production environment, you might have to work on .Net. The learning curve would be missing. Once you finish your training, you won't get the preferred location of work. If you are posted in a SEZ, then it is impossible to get a transfer. Role changes are next to impossible unless you know the tricks to woo your managers. Very few people get the opportunity to work at on-site location. The salary offered to offshore employees who began their career as trainees is relatively very less compared with other firms.

Pros

Lots of opportunity in new areas. Growing organization.

Cons

No work-life balance, feedback for performance reviews are skewed, Indian style of management - no longer an employee friendly organization. No emphasis on employee training - just need to complete the mandated certifications.
