Pros

401K and HQ Office Location

Cons

> Very Bad Management in HQ > Company lost the track due to outdated managers. > If the manager doesn't like you then behave like let go and you can't complain to his superior as it is a political ring. > They send the surveys to hear people voice and catch who is floating against them. > No Internal Transfers and if you apply you will be rejected. > No training to grow.

We regret that you have a negative view of working at Informatica. Your peers in Redwood City rate our Senior Leadership at 3.5 out of 5 stars, significantly above the Glassdoor average. Comparably ranked Informatica among the top 10% of employers for management in 2016. And Computerworld just named Informatica one of the “100 Best Places to Work in IT” for the 4th year in a row. Our 2016 employee engagement survey had 88% of employees agree that they “trust and respect” their managers. As for career opportunities, our employees rate it 3.5 out of 5 stars on Glassdoor. Informatica plans to be the leading Enterprise Cloud Data Management company in the world. To do that, we all will need to dedicate ourselves to making that vision a reality. Best wishes in making the best career decision for you.

Death Spiral - Worst Management Team in Silicon Valley

Pros

There are still a few very dedicated, good people that work at INFA. The Redwood City location is convenient and the campus is very nice.

Cons

The current management team has completely destroyed the culture and spirit of the company. The senior management team is the most unqualified, incompetent senior management team in the valley. They simply do not have a good understanding of the business and treat the long term employees with disrespect. The business is tanking and they don't know how to get the company back going in the right direction. They mistakenly under-estimated the value of the existing senior management team and let them go when the company went private. It has been a very sad demise.

Informatica leads the industry – both in market share and analysts’ evaluations of our innovation and leadership in the growing data management market – and our senior team is integral in setting the strategy and delivering great results for the company. Culture is, admittedly, subjective. Your peers at Informatica, however, give the Company culture 3.9 out of 5 stars on Glassdoor, a rating which has been rising since last summer (as well as their appraisal of senior management). Can we improve? Of course. But only if all of us – together – work to make it so.

Pros

Competitive salary and benefits. Wonderful co-workers below the Director levels. Opportunity to work with every type of technology out there.

Cons

The company failed to meet its potential since going private and then public again. The current CEO has not had much success. Great person but he’s changed. The CFO brought in had a reputation for cutting to raise the stock price and is doing the same here. Both the CFO and CEO have their million shares, so they see the cuts in a positive light as the stock rises. They’re just disconnected. Can’t blame ‘em. Blinded by money. As others have said, the cuts weren’t based on performance. That makes it worse for employees, with no one secure in their job. The technical debt is too high with the legacy software and the plans for on-prem to cloud for many products simply aren’t there.
