Pros

I work with a lot of great people from my individual team all the way up to the department head and executive board. Informatica trusts its resources and I am able to work with minimal over site, but maximum support. My manager is never looking over my shoulder, but immediately responds with anything I need to be successful. Within the team we al support each other with our areas of expertise and experience which is extremely important since our products are constantly evolving and adding functionality. Compensation and benefits are good. I have noticed them to be very competitive with the industry. Training is always available but mostly in a self-service, online forum.

Cons

There is a disconnect between spoken values and expectations and the actions taken.

Pros

This is the largest company I've worked for an although at times it feels like a huge organization, overall, you feel like you have a smaller company environment. I generally work with the same team of people on a regular basis so it's helpful that I feel like I get to know my co-workers. My manager is as hands-on as I'd like her to be - she is trustworthy and confident in my abilities and only jumps in when asked. I feel like I own my projects and am given freedom to make decisions. As a remote employee, the tools and systems we use make it very easy to collaborate. The benefits are great.

Cons

Some of the processes and procedures are unclear and makes it difficult to sometimes get minor tasks completed.

Pros

A large pool of very talented, committed people; above average compensation; above average benefits; opportunity to progress into many different areas; a team of support staff committed to making the working environment as safe, comfortable and pleasant as possible and investment in employee development is significant. Excellent products to sell that customers really like and a great network of partners.

Cons

Quite siloed so frustrating at times; under-investment in some infrastructure particularly in areas that are deemed to be strategic; need to empower some regions as the company grows and matures instead of keeping everything at corporate level. Company is struggling to change the market perception of it as a Data Quality and Data Integration vendor into the reality which is much broader.
