Pros

The salary was decent for Utah. Good location. Lots of other Customer Direct Sales folks in one office.

Cons

It was like pulling teeth to get them to pay commissions on deals closed and the comp plan is weighted heavily so that you make pennies until you get really close to your quota. Way too many layers of management with a lack of communication from top to bottom both directions. Terrible morale as most CDS reps are looking to get out as soon as possible.

Pros

Ability to work from home. Autonomous postion for the most part. PTO is decent.

Cons

Continuous increase in workload and accountability without any reviews or salary increases in 3 yrs. Management is able to work normal hours, have weekends off, etc, while the avg worker struggles, has to work weekends with no compensation. HR in Lake Forest can never answer a question directly, it is always deferred. This combined with the general feeling given to us that we are replaceable, undervalued and incompetent fosters a very poor team. The hospitality division seems like a stepchild that is not cared about. The company is entirely about the bottom line and $$$ and seems to have no interest in fostering career growth, advancement or retaining long term employees. While a company must obviously make revenues, it must also learn to combine that need with the need to retain the "knowledge" of long term employees. Having to use our own credit cards for airfare, rentals and all expenses as opposed to a company issued card (not a company sponsored card under our own obligation).

Pros

Ability to work from home

Cons

Traveling on weekends and not getting compensated, no 401K match, expensive Health Care, no raises or reviews in over 3 years, having to pay for airfare and car rental and waiting to get reimbursed, no appreciation for management over a job well done, having to perform sales calls to our clients without the benefit of any commission, expecting to work on weekends.
