Pros

Some very talented employees...although most talented people are long gone by now. After many years of fruitless acquisitions, product strategy finally appear to be more sound on the surface.

Cons

Complete and total dysfunction at the senior management level. It is a complete mystery how many of these people secured and retained their positions. The level of incompetence is truly startling and leads to a horrible work environment. The majority of mid-level managers are not even remotely professional, let alone kind. The sharing of "confidential" information, the gossip and the drama would concern any customer or prospect. People are treated more like animals then professionals. Oh..and if you saw the expense around catering, the NYC office, or private jets you;d be disgusted, particularly as salaries and 401K matching had been frozen for years.

Pros

Flexible time, no dress code, that's it.

Cons

No step level program. One can not get a clear perspective on where he or she will be in the next 3 years. Company has no values in place. Performance appraisals has no bearing at all. Most of the time it tends to be personal, actual work performance and output are not taken into consideration. Rampant office politics. No training program for admin and support positions.

Pros

Decent salary and largely allowed to use initiative. Charles Phillips and the other ex-Oracle folk are moving company in correct direction. Support function is excellent and very well managed

Cons

Poor middle management (though VP's are usually very good). Processes and lack of accurate customer information. Blame culture. Consulting services often create issues with customers.
