Pros
The people in the trenches are hard workers and are reasonably good at collaborating with their peers. Knowledge of most of the workers is very deep, and most of the products have roots going back 10 - 30 years.
Cons
Communication from the senior management (directors ==> President) are generally poor, and generally nothing but a pep rally. Line managers are a mixed lot, as they are generally technical, and have not been given any real training in how to manage people
