      Pros

      There were interesting technical challenges in integrating old systems with new corporate initiatives. Lots of experienced people. Sometimes teams gelled and worked well together. You can work a regular work-week most of the time: the company operates on a slow product cycle, not "Internet time."

      Cons

      Shortly after I was laid off, most of the legacy product staff were transferred to an India-based consulting company. Same job, same office, same equipment, new contingent employer. This was such a transparent accounting shenanigan that I'm surprised they were allowed to do it. You will rust technically here. All the bosses are pointy-haired: expect ungrounded deadlines and arbitrary decisions.

      Pros

      They mean well and they are willing to train. There are people who have been there a long, long time so it does work for some people.

      Cons

      If you want to stay current with technology, work for a fun group or grow your career then you may want to look elsewhere. The code base is old and creaky but they do not seem to be willing to acknowledge the fact. The people that make the decisions have been there for 10-15 years or more and don't see the issues.

      Pros

      I was with Infor for a long time. The people were great. I was able to learn new skills.

      Cons

      It is just a combination of purchased software systems. If you are not working on one of the systems they think is critical going forward you cant transfer. C-level is only interested in going public. I was part of a group ofpeople working on products that they sent all the employees to an Indian consulting company (re-badging).
