Pros

The PTO is good. Other than PTO, I can't think of any other good memories form my time here.

Cons

The management is very incapable of understanding Agile methodology. They are laughably unsuccessful in obtaining/defining feature requirements. I worked with the TrueCost team in Irving, TX office in a small team. The management is arrogant and has no proper vision for this product. They want to build a modern product but force the engineering team to use ancient Infor products which are good for nothing.

Pros

Huge company with thousands customers, employees, opportunities. Excellent top level vision/strategy: focus on UX, cloud, product consolidation

Cons

Poor, poor director level people (typically former top sharp engineers/architects with no management/people skills) Too many products Some really complex products, painful to integrate (ION is the worst) Micro management, mid-level managers are chopped liver and get shortcut all the time, really if you don't need them, don't hire/pay them!! Too many architects playing politics rather than doing their f... Job. Wich results in poorly architectured products and too much office politics. Projects led by directors or VPs or Architects are a true catstrophy (ex: cloud enablement is a true mess, with absolutely no accountability and continuously slipping ETAs)

Pros

Pretty good benefits, very flexible work schedule, up-and-coming feel to the company, stretching technology envelope. "The largest start-up in the world."

Cons

Huge company made up of several acquisitions. Always in a state on integration of complex different products. Lots of red tape for everything. Company is always very tight with expenses, like a continual travel ban unless directly with a client. Makes it tough because of the distributed nature of all the teams. Low yearly merit increases.
