Pros

Expense account, truck, pay, all of the account managers, and benefits.

Cons

First off, the commercial teams upper management is the WORST I have ever been apart of. They do not take the time to listen to you and push all the crazy chaos down to us Account Managers. As a account manager you are at the bottom of this company. The unrealistic goals makes that “amazing” bonus structure nothing to you. You will be micromanaged which will include daily calls 1-2 times with manager, spreadsheet after spreadsheet, and required to work weekends and many late nights. Work life balance does not exists. They have been putting people on performance plans as a “motivation” tactic to scare new and old account managers out of their job. There really is no job security in this particular role. I would not suggest Indigo Ag to any family or friends right now. It is a start up so there are A TON of growing pains as well as changes in the offerings almost weekly. There has been a huge overturn in Account Managers this year because of these reasons listed above plus more.

Pros

free lunch/better than average salary for the role.

Cons

Working here gave me a constant stream of anxiety. There was no training and it always felt like no matter how much work I completed or how many hours I worked it was never enough to please those I worked with. Working 12 hours a day, every day, plus weekends is the norm for some departments and you have nothing to show for the time that has been put in. After leaving I have never felt such a relief to know that I never have to go back to an environment in which I'm not appreciated.

Thank you for taking time to share your feedback. I’m so sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience working at Indigo. I appreciate your feedback on training as it is something we’ve focused on a great deal over the last year. You may have started before we implemented some of this, but we now offer in-depth New Hire Training for all new employees, with several additional weeks of training for the sales teams. We’ve also added a robust Manager Training program, and 150+ online training modules. Our Learning & Development team is continuously adding new trainings based on feedback from our employees as well. If any current employee feels he or she is lacking necessary training, I encourage him or her to reach out directly to our L&D team. It seems like you have already left Indigo, so I want to wish you all the best in your next endeavor and thank you for your hard work and time while you were here.
